I have two Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-one printers which I have used successfully with Windows NT and Windows 7 machines. I used the HP Scan application to scan documents.
My employer recently replaced my Windows 7 laptop with a Windows 10 laptop. I have downloaded and installed "HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus/Premium e-All-in-One Printer series - N911a-n Full Feature Software and Driver". However, I still do not have HP Scan or its successor, HP Scan and Capture. I have been searching for the software download all over hp.com, but I have not found it.
Where can I get the scanning software for the OfficeJet Pro 8600?

Scanning issues…
Please try this scan solution:
HP Scan Extended
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi For Windows.
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Make searchable PDF scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

Thank you! That works great. This MSI file installs HP Scan Extended, which works almost exactly like HP Scan, but a little faster with a cleaner GUI.
It's just too bad there's no way to find it by searching hp.com
