HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer

I've set up the printer via HP Smart with a HP account logged in, but the printer keeps saying to Fining printer setup to enable printing.  This printer requires use of an HP account...etc

Hi @Jeffberg,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the printer setup process isn't completing properly, even though you've logged into your HP account. Here are a few steps to help resolve the issue.

Restart the Printer and Device: Power cycle both the printer and the device you're using for setup (computer or smartphone). This can sometimes clear temporary setup issues.

Ensure Wi-Fi Connection: Double-check that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. If it's not, go into the printer's settings and reconnect it to the correct network.

Verify HP Account Login: Ensure that the HP account you're logged into is the one associated with your printer. Sometimes logging out and logging back in can resolve account issues.

Reset the Printer: If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset on the printer. This can help clear any stuck configuration settings.

  • To reset: On the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults (this might vary depending on the model).

Re-run HP Smart Setup: After resetting, try going through the HP Smart setup again and follow all on-screen instructions carefully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
