Hi all:
I just purchased an HP DeskJet Ink advantage 2374 and tried to install it in my MacOS Big Sur (11.4) computer but I'm not succeeding. I've already followed all the recommendations I've found here, but still can make it work. Any tips?

Hi @CrisFer,
Please make sure you are carefully going through my steps, as you should not access HP Smart in the process...
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

Hi,
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

Please clarify your intention, it was tried with no success but what was the exact behavior or error?
During which step it fails? what behavior or failure is shown? please clarify with some more details to get some better understanding of any possible cause.

I followed all the steps you mentioned before. When I'm in HP Smart, the software doesn't detect the printer. I select "USB" as the form of connection and it starts "thinking" and then shows a pop-up that says that there is no printer connected. I click on "Show me how", follow those steps too and repeat all the process unsuccessfully. I've already checked in System Information/USB/USB2 and the printer IS connected, but it appears that the software doesn't know that. I've also erased all the HP software before doing the whole process. I also updated the software and it printed a report about that, but besides that, I'm unable to make it work. I've also tried installing it directly from the computer adding a printer, selecting the HP software and it appears to be installed correctly but I'm unable to make it work.
