Hello,
I just reinstalled my OS on PC from WIN 7 to WIN10 and the printer HP Laser Jet 1018 is not working. I printed earlier today on WIN7, doesn't work now on WIN10. I tried to manually download the drivers, not possible. I read your support for this model  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-1018-printer/1814092/model/1814093, I tried also switching device on/off, restarted windows, my Windows 10 does not recognize the device. I followed your instructions carefully.

-I tried to add a printer and scanner. Does not recognize

-I tried The printer that I want isn't listed. Does not recognize it

-I tried Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings/select USB001: (Virtual printer port for USB), but the printer does not print, it still does not recognize it as HP 1018.
-Device installation settings - YES (recommmended)

Other observations:
-Under Devices and Printers - under Unspecified (1) it is listed as HP Laser Jet 1018 (update driver does not work)

-The printer is not visible in Device Manager - Only Print queues tab without printer itself

-The printer is visible in Device Manager under Software Devices tab (Hewlett-PackardHP LaserJet 1018
