As others  have stated.  It is any printer.  It isnt the printer.  Its is the relationship between the HP (so called) SmartApp and Chrome browsers on Macbooks.

 

But I'm happy that, at long last, HP has glanced at the feedback and can resolve this long outstanding and frustrating problem.
