Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdwample: Pavilion 6530
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I set a administrator password on my MacBook using the HP Smart app. This was a generated password, however after saving it I tested it and found I couldn't login.  So when I tested inputting it on the printer itself, it deletes characters at the end of it looking like it was too long!

 

XiIV1iF2D5h$FT%1 that's the password. It's only 16 characters and includes symbols.

 

So now I'm stuck with a printer which I can't access the settings or factory reset.  How can I reset it without entering a password?
