So I was reading to try to have the HP setup assistant help me with my wifi connection but when I open the setup assistant it says "Can't open HP Setup Assistant because PowerPC applications are no longer supported". I did go to Staples to buy a new printer but they insisted that I have a good printer and that I should delete the printer and then re-add it to my Macbook pro. It will connect through USB but will not connect via wifi. Tried to use WPS button but no luck. Anyone know how to get this connected? Thanks

Hi,

the HP Setup Assistant is an older application, not intended for Mojave.

Is the printer currently connected to your Mac in any way, such as a USB cable?

Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, can you see any instance of your printer listed there?

I can get the printer to work if I plug it in via USB to my Macbook Pro. So I guess I don't need the assistant after all. Thanks!
