Hi @UWMom,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Here’s how you can smoothly accept the EULA and get your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e printing again, step by step, with that reassuring “click” feeling:

1. Accept EULA via the Printer’s Touchscreen

Your printer’s control panel is the fastest way:

  1. Wake the touchscreen with a gentle tap, listen for that satisfying beep, ensuring it's fully awake.
  2. Tap the Settings/Setup icon (it often looks like a gear).
  3. Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Web Services.
  4. You should see a prompt labelled “Privacy Statement” or “End User License Agreement”, tap to Review and then Accept.

Once accepted, the printer should release its paused state and print normally.

2. Accept EULA through the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If the touchscreen doesn’t show the EULA prompt, you can do it from your computer or phone:

  1. On the printer, find its IP address
    • From the touchscreen, go to Network Settings, or
    • Print a Network Configuration Page via the “i” or Information button.
  2. On your computer or phone browser, type the IP (e.g., http://192.168.1.45) to open the EWS.
  3. Click the Web Services or Home tab, look for the EULA/privacy prompt.
  4. Review and accept the agreement.

3. Firmware Update (if needed)

Sometimes the EULA prompt only appears during firmware upgrades:

  1. In HP Smart App, go to Advanced Settings or Printer Settings > Manage Printer.
  2. Choose Firmware Update and Install if an update is available.
  3. Once the update completes, the EULA should pop up on the touchscreen or EWS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
