Hi @BigDRichT,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One printer not allowing you to connect to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps.

Reset the Network Settings

Restore Network Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup (wrench icon).
  • Select Network Setup.
  • Choose Restore Network Settings.
  • Confirm the reset. This will remove any previous network configurations.

Reboot the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Connect via HP Smart App

Download the HP Smart App (if not already installed):

  • Install it on your computer or smartphone from HP’s official website.

Add the Printer:

  • Open the app and select Add Printer.
  • The app should automatically search for printers nearby.
  • If your printer is not found, connect it directly via USB temporarily to help establish the Wi-Fi connection.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Perform a Semi-Full Reset

If the above steps don’t work, performing a semi-full reset can help unlock all settings:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Press and hold both the power button and the cancel button on the printer's control panel.
  4. While holding these buttons, plug the power cord back into the printer.
  5. Wait for the printer to power on, and release the buttons.

After the reset, you should be able to access the network setup options again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Restore Network Settings is grey-out with a lock symbol on it. I've tried to unlock on the Control Panel Lock entry, but can't figure out what user name and user password it is looking for. Can you help me here?

There is also no cancel button on the Officejet Pro 9015. When you turn the power off the screen goes plank. I unplug the power from the back, wait 30 seconds. Pressing the power key with the power unplugged doesn't do anything. Again with the power off, there is no screen to show a cancel key.
