HP OfficeJet Pro 8022e All-in-One Printer

Hello, I hope the community can help me.

In december '24 I bought a new printer, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8022e All-In-One printer. This printer includes the service HP+ with the delivery of paint for the 6 months.

So, now we come to my problem: During the installation wasn't the question about "Hey, do you want to use HP+?" or something in this direction. So I thought "Okay, maybe the printer asks me when the paint reach a low level of paint" but nothing happed. Now I tried to get the service, but at the moment I wasn't succesful.

So, now I ask the community: what can I do? Is it still possible to get the service?

Hi @bodop1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems you're having trouble activating HP+ for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8022e, even though you should have received the service with the printer purchase. Here's what you can do to resolve the issue and start using HP+:

Steps to Activate HP+ Service

Check Your Printer Model and Eligibility:

  • The HP OfficeJet Pro 8022e is eligible for HP+, so you're on the right track.

HP+ Activation via HP Smart App:

  • HP+ is typically activated through the HP Smart app (which is available for both mobile devices and PCs). If the printer didn't ask you during setup, it could be because the activation prompt was missed, or it was an issue during the initial installation process.
  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your phone, tablet, or computer if you haven’t done so already.
  • Open the HP Smart app and sign in or create a free HP account.
  • Add your printer to the app (if it’s not already there).
  • Once your printer is added, look for an option to activate HP+.
  • The app should guide you through the process of activating the service and setting up your ink subscription.

Ensure You’re Using the Correct Account:

  • HP+ service requires that you’re logged in with an HP account linked to your printer. If you created an account during setup, make sure it’s the same one you’re using with the app now.

Check the Printer’s Wi-Fi Connection:

  • HP+ requires an internet connection to work, so make sure your printer is properly connected to Wi-Fi and can access the internet.

Check the Printer’s Status:

  • If you already have the HP Smart app installed but didn’t get the HP+ option during the initial setup, try checking the printer’s settings via the app for any service activation options.
  • You can also try accessing the printer’s web interface by entering its IP address in a browser (you can find this in the printer’s settings). Sometimes there are additional activation prompts here.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
