My HP Envy 6400 wasted lots of paper automatically printing alignment pages I don't need and don't want. It can't complete it because HP Ink cartridges are crap and just dry out after couple months even when not used (VERY bad design, btw), so I don't want to unpack color inc just to print that page.
I need a way to cancel that automatic behavior (VERY bad design, btw). Please, give me the way to do it.
Please DO NOT recommend me to go through alignment process.

HI @AntonBr,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To stop your HP Envy 6400 from automatically printing alignment pages, you can try the following steps:
Disable Automatic Alignment
Access Printer Settings:
- Open the HP Smart app on your device or access the printer's web interface by entering its IP address in a web browser.
Check for Settings:
- Look for a section related to Maintenance or Preferences in the app or web interface.
Disable Alignment:
- If there is an option to disable automatic alignment or similar maintenance tasks, turn it off. This may vary based on the app version or printer firmware.
Alternative Solutions
Print Without Alignment:
- Some users have reported that selecting the “Print in Grayscale” option or using draft mode can help avoid automatic alignment prints.
Firmware Update:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up to date, as updates may provide new options or fix existing issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
