I recently got a new IMac and Macbook Air which both runs with macOS Monterey and have not been able to connect my printer. I have the HP 1510 USB Connection only, and I am wondering if the printer is just completely outdated.
I've already tried updating software for both my computer and printer. I tried Easy Start multiple times to update. It recognizes the printer, but once I hit 'Test Print,' it says complete and nothing prints out.
I've tried basically everything that was on the forums and on Google, but have not been able to print anything. It worked before with my older computers, but I have turned them all in for trade-in, so I can't test the printer with them anymore.
I would really appreciate anyone's help on this matter. Is there any other ways to fix the issue other than what has been commonly stated in these answers?
Here is the list of solutions I have tried:
- Turn off/on printer/computer
- Update software for both computer and printer
- Use HP Easy Start
- Use HP Smart (After I reset my printer settings, it won't even recognize my printer)
- Reset Printer Settings

Hi @mytpoiuytr
First download and install HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:
Then go to Preferences > Printers then Add the printer, follow the steps from the next video:
