Operating System: Android 9.0 Pie

Tried to register for account through the hp print app.

Got the point where I enter in the text message verification number but no text has been forthcoming - and hasn't now for several hours.

The verify by email button seemingly does nothing either.

So in the meantime I managed to register on my pc. But now I can't get access to a simple log in screen to enter those log in details in the app.

Any time I try to 'logon' I'm just taken straight back to this damned text verification screen.

Any help is appreciated.

UK based, mobile number triple checked, Android 10, HP desk jet 2710, app uninstall /reinstalled, printer forgotten and relinked.
