Cannot add HP Smart APP to laptop -

Have installed HP Deskjet 4100 and it will print but cannot get it to scan.  when I try to find the APP HP Smart it says I already own it but cannot find/access it??

The older desktop printers do not support HP Smart (requires Windows 10)

Newer printers do not support XP.
