Hi @ywj629,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering compatibility issues with your HP Officejet 5610 printer on Windows 11 and have tried downloading drivers without success, there are a few troubleshooting steps and alternative methods you can try before considering purchasing a new printer.

  • Compatibility Mode: Right-click on the driver setup file you downloaded and select "Properties." Go to the "Compatibility" tab and check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select a previous version of Windows, like Windows 7 or Windows 8. Then, try running the driver installer again.
  • Windows Update: Sometimes, Windows Update may automatically detect and install drivers for your printer. Ensure your Windows 11 is fully updated by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and clicking on "Check for updates."
  • Manufacturer's Website: Visit HP's official website and search for the drivers specifically designed for Windows 11 for your HP Officejet 5610 printer. Make sure you download and install the correct drivers for your printer model and the Windows 11 operating system.
  • Device Manager: You can try manually installing the printer through Device Manager. Press Windows key + X and select "Device Manager." Look for your printer under "Print queues" or "Other devices," right-click on it, and select "Update driver." Choose the option to browse your computer for drivers and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the HP Officejet 5610 drivers.
  • Virtual Machine or Compatibility Software: If none of the above solutions work, you could consider running a virtual machine with an older version of Windows (like Windows 7 or Windows 😎 or using compatibility software like VMware or VirtualBox to create a virtual environment where your printer might work.

If none of these suggestions resolve the issue, and you're still unable to use your HP Officejet 5610 printer with Windows 11, it might be worth considering upgrading to a newer printer model that offers better compatibility with the latest operating systems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
