I got the printer yesterday. According to the instructions, I installed HP Smart and let my PC and the printer connect to the same Wi-Fi. It was normal until I was required to add the printer in the setting (Add device). My PC cannot find the printer. My printer can connect to the Internet normally, for it could show the email printing.

 

I thought that It was due to the Internet because I lived in an apartment and used its Wi-Fi. So, I opened the hotspot of my cell phone and let them connect to the hotspot. What's worse, the device cannot still detect the printer.

 

Next, I installed HP smart in my phone and repeated the operations. I failed to connect to the printer as well.

 

At last, I can connect to the printer by Wi-Fi Direct, but I cannot use Internet while using Wi-Fi Direct. Could you help me connect to the printer?

As what I described in the content, I cannot connect to the print unless I use WiFi Direct. Therefore, I cannot use the wireless Internet while using the printer.

Let's restore the network settings on the Printer:

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Network Setup. 3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.

 

Once done, connect the printer to the Wi-Fi:

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless). 2. Touch ( Settings ). 3. Touch Wireless Settings. 4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard 5.Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
