The HP App (formerly HP Smart) requires macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later. Since your Mac is running High Sierra 10.13.6, the HP App may not be compatible.

What You Can Do Instead

You can still print and scan using these HP-supported options:

1. Install HP Drivers for High Sierra
   • Go to the official HP link:
     HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer | HP® Support
   • Select macOS 10.13 High Sierra, download HP Easy Start or the Full Feature Software package.
   • Follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation.
      
2. Use macOS Built-in Tools
   • Add your printer via System Preferences → Printers & Scanners using AirPrint or HP driver.
   • For scanning, use Image Capture (built into macOS).
