Hi @SR-74-,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble downloading drivers for your HP Smart Tank Plus 555 printer on Windows 10 64-bit, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue.
- Visit the Official HP Support Website: Make sure you are downloading the drivers from the official HP support website. Go to the HP support website (https://support.hp.com/) and search for your printer model (HP Smart Tank Plus 555). Look for the drivers specifically designed for Windows 10 64-bit.
- Choose the Correct Driver Version: Ensure that you are selecting the correct driver version for your printer and operating system. Sometimes, there might be multiple versions of drivers available, so double-check that you're downloading the appropriate one.
- Disable Firewall and Antivirus: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block the download of certain files. Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus, and then try downloading the drivers again.
- Clear Browser Cache: If you're downloading the drivers from a web browser, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. Cached files might be causing issues with the download.
- Use a Different Web Browser: If you're using one web browser, try switching to a different one and attempt to download the drivers again. This can help rule out any browser-related issues.
- Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and working properly. Slow or interrupted internet can cause issues with downloading files.
- Download from HP Support Assistant (if available): If you have the HP Support Assistant software installed on your computer, try using it to download and install the drivers. The HP Support Assistant can help automate the process and ensure you get the correct drivers.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
