Example: PavilionLaserjet CP1525nw 6530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

over the years I have had to come onto this community forum many times to ask for help running my LaserJet cp 1525nw.  Every time my Wifi plays up and as a result I have to reset it, the printer becomes disconnected from the wireless network.  It then becomes an enormous task to reconnect it back onto the wireless network.

This should not happen.  Of course, if I could download the full feature software for my product, then I would not be having this problem. But when I try uninstalling then reinstalling the software - FULL FEATURE - it does not work, either from a CD or from the web.  This is unacceptable.  A product that I paid quite a bit for - the software should be downloadable every time I want to uninstall then reinstall it - AND WORK!

 You HP software developers out there, you have a moral responsibility to make your customers lives easier by their not wasting time Please come up with a solution - and fast!

Hi @SDJ1,

I'd like to help!

 Let's try and uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.

--->In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

--->Select your HP printer.

--->Select Uninstall.

--->In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

--->In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

--->Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

--->Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

--->Click on the Drivers tab.

--->Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

--->Select OK.

--->Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

--->Close Devices and Printers.

And then reinstall the printer full-featured drivers from the software and drivers page

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello Jay_24, when I tried to uninstall the HP print driver, I got the message:

"Unable to remove HP Laserjet Professional CP 1520 Series PCL6 X64, Type 3 User Mode driver.  The specified printer driver is currently in use"

What does this mean and how can I delete the driver?

Hello Jay_24,

well I managed to delete the HP drivers.  However the full feature software did not install.  I got the error message "A problem occured while installing software to your system.  Please restart your computer and run this installer again.  If the problem persists, please check the product support web site for your product."

I restarted my laptop several times but it keeps coming up with the same message.  It has got to be a fault with HP printer software.  What is going on?  Come on you HP sotware programmers, solve this!
