Cannot enable Firmware Update capabilities on LaserJet Pro M404dn

Trying to update the Firmware on a new LaserJet Pro M404dn. Cannot enable the Firmware Update capabilities on the printer.

Hello,

Make sure the printer is connected to a wired (Ethernet) or wireless network with an active Internet connection.
To activate the updates, the printer must be connected to the wired network (Ethernet).

Refer to this document for the steps in the Method one: Update the firmware using the printer control panel section and then the 2-line LCD control panels section.

If this does not work, please download the latest firmware version of the printer via the HP link below. Please follow Method two to install the above document update.

When I got to the "2-Line LCD Control Panels" for the "M404-M405(n.dn.dw models), the "Update Firmware" option is not under the "Setup-Printer Maintenance" in the menu. The "Method two: Update the firmware using the HP Printer Update Utility" does not work because the "Update Firmware" is not enabled on the printer. When you run the "HP Printer Update Utility", the printer is not detected on the computer. I have tried to access the "Secondary Service menu", but could not. How can you update the firmware using the "HP Printer Update Utility" version 002_2002B?

When I go into the "Embedded Web Server"for the printer, under "Setting--Security--Administrator Settings--Enable/Disable Features", I enable all Printer Features. Then I can update the firmware of the printer using the "Embedded Web Server" under  the "Tools--Printer Updates--Firmware Updates", but only to Firmware Version 1924A.
