If like me you have this issue and are not techy enough to understand the expert's answer, here's a work-around.

1. If you need to, scan what you want to enlarge and save it as a jpg.

2. Open it in a photo-editing app or program, I use Photo.

3. Crop the photo as close as you can.

4. Resize the photo to the size you want, i.e., 125% or 200%.

5. Use "print to pdf" to preview how the photo will look.

6. If it looks okay, print. 

This took me about 4 minutes, after I wasted about 35 trying to figure out the expert's answer and other answers that I found.
