I just bought my new MacBook Pro two weeks ago and tried using my HP Photosmart C4780 printer. My computer recognized it when I connected it, but it kept saying "Missing USB Class driver". I do not see a download for drivers for  the new Mac Operating system Big Sur. Does anyone know if there is one or if there will be making one soon? If not what are my options to get my printer to work with this new computer?

Hi,

What is your operating system version? is it Big Sur (11.0)? Catalina? (10.15)

Please click the Apple icon and then About This Mac to find its exact version,

Thanks for clarifying @Techgenie.

Try following below version of the HP Easy Start Utility:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/ASU/HP_Easy_St...

As soon as you open HP Easy Start, click the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software...
Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue. When prompted, type your administrator user name and password and follow the steps on screen.
Click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to reinstall your printer with HP Easy Start and check if that may work.

If you experience any issues, open HP Easy Start again, from the HP Easy Start menu select Preferences.
Click on HP Easy Start.log and the log folder will launch, please reply me back via a Private Message to ShlomiL with the log content attached.

I got my printer to work but it is only printing in black and white now. How can I fix that? I tried setting up for wireless but when I look at instructions for my specific printer, the picture on the HP website for the printer control panel is different from my printer. I see that my printer say wireless but there is not a button I can press to turn on wireless.  There is no point in trying to download a driver because there are none compatible with Big Sur operating system. How can I get to the wireless on my printer to enable it to print using my iPhone? Maybe then I can get it to print in color
