I`m having just the same problem when installing the Deskjet advantage 2135 in my MacBook Pro, OS 10.13.1 High Sierra.

 

The link provided in the answer does not work...

 

I´ve tried to download the driver from 123hp several times having the same trouble.. in the middle of the download it stops and shows a "connection problem", and my internet is just fine.

 

When trying to print using the apple driver at the printers and scanners system options, no luck.. it just does not work. 

 

Hope you can help me out.

I just checked and there is a driver version dated dic 12.

I downloaded, installed it and it worked.

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to install drivers for your HP DeskJet 2135 Printer on Mac. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  • Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.
  • Reset the print system.
  • Restart the computer, printer, and router.
  • Uninstall the HP software.
  • Reinstall the HP software.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.

I read the post. Brilliant troubleshooting and immaculate attitude have been displayed by you to try and resolve it. Kudos to you for a job well done. 🙂

 

As @sandytechy20 is out of office for the day, I am responding on his behalf. There is more to it than meets the eye here.

 

Please try these steps:

  • Reset the Mac printing system as stated earlier.
  • Then add the printer by following these steps:

 

1.)Click the Apple menu icon, and then click System Preferences.

2.) Click Printers and Scanners, Print and Scan, or Print and Fax.

3.) In the Printers list, click your HP printer, and then click the Minus button to delete it.

4.) Click the Add button.

 5.) Find, and then select the name of your printer from the Printer list, and then click Add to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.

6.) Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select the name of your printer.

7.)Select only the HP printer for now. Once the correct HP driver is chosen, select Add to add the printer to the list. 8.) Try to print.

This should do the trick for you.

 

If it does not, then contact HP phone support to take control of your machine in real time to assist you to correct the situation.

  • Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
  • Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
  • Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
  • Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.

Hi again, 

 

I tried to call but the number provided dosent seam to work from Paraguay (where I am).

Tried to called from my phone and skype too, but it didnt work.

Can you provide me with another phone support number?

 

When I entered my printer serial number, it showed as if the guarranty had expired. The printer is just one month old! 

Really.. if I cant not make it work.. I want to return it... 

The box said clearly the minimun software requirement (OS 10) .. but there was not information about compatibility problems with OS10 or latter..

 

please, help me find a solution, because I dont know how to downgrade my OS... it seams like a lot of work and some of my applicantion may stop running in a lower OS.
