HP LaserJet M1132 MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer is HP LaserJet M1132 MFP. I have tried tried all types of drivers  but none is working. I have followed all instructions but it is not working.
Every time I install the driver i see this error:
The printer installation failed. Please try the following steps after you click Close.

1. Ensure the USB cable is disconnected from the printer.
2. Turn the printer off, then on.
3. Plug the USB cable into the printer.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
  2. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list. 
  3. Restart the PC
  4. Close all programs
  5. download only this complete package: HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver 
    File name: HP_M1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution-v20180815-10158769_1.exe (240.8 MB)
  6. Close all programs
  7. Reconnect the printer only to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
    Do not connect the printer to the computer!
  8. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the HP_M1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution-v20180815-10158769_1.exe
    Via USB, means wait until the installation asks to connect the printer/scanner.
  9. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  10. Restart the System again
  11. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

Nothing has changed!

 

I think we are dealing with a defective operating system or another software application is causing the problem!
Therefore apply this solution here.
