Hello. I can't install printer drivers because the HP Smart Install virtual disc keeps saying I have "Access Denied" (I did enable HP Smart Install service in the printer settings, otherwise it couldn't even connect the virtual disc to the computer alone). I do not see the Smart Install icon, it just looks like an empty disc.
I had to uninstall the current drivers because after updating drivers (I am using Avast Driver Updater for drivers updates), the printer suddenly stopped working, and I suspect the drivers being updated might be the culprit. However I cannot install it back.

Hi,
HP Smart Install feature was discontinued years back and you would need to install the latest Windows 10 software from HP Support, please follow the steps below to reinstall your printer:
First, unplug the USB cable.
From the printer, click the Setup (wrench) button and select Service, then press OK.
Select HP Smart Install and press OK.
Change the setting to Disabled and press OK, then restart the printer.
Download and install the latest software on your PC and select a USB connection, make sure not to plug the USB cable till the installation guide you to do so:

Installation has proceeded successfully, scanner now works with the old Scan application, however HP Smart app doesn't recognise the printer, despite it showing the printer online before adding:
Before I added the printer to HP Smart app, it showed the printer as online, but as soon as I added it, it suddenly can't recognise the printer and shows it as offline. Scanner feature isn't working in there. The old Scan app works, thankfully.
