Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

123.hp app has difficulty locating printer by usb. When it does locate it and drivers download, they don’t install. I have chased this horse around the barn for hours today. I have tried every hack and suggestion i have seen in this forum and in the support chat. Nothing works. I go to print and no drivers. 

also WiFi direct passcode fails. Says it is incorrect code. What gives hp?

Hi,

Try following HP Easy Start below, Skip the first steps and skip to the software selection when offered, then select the HP Basic or Full Feature Software option and check for any difference:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/COL96741/HPEasyStart_12_2_5163_01.exe

 

For the Wi-Fi Direct password, Please  swipe down the top bar of the printer and tap the WI-Fi Direct icon c04342427to locate its name and password, make sure you use the correct one for your printer and not any nearby printer by mistake.
