HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-in-One Printer - G510n

My printer had been working in the past but often ran into problems in which I would try to reinstall the HP tools to connect to my printer.  Recently, I found multiple instance of the HP Officejet printer in my list of printers and the print spooler was using excessive cpu time on one of them.  I removed all instances of my HP printer from my Windows 10 computer and then attempted to add it back in.  Every time I would try to add the printer, my computer would find the correct printer and then connect to it, but would always fail with the message unable to install driver.

I have tried reinstalling the HP software that came with the printer, but during that process, the software was unable to connect to my printer.  I made sure I was on the same wireless network.  I also connect the USB cable to my computer but the software still couldn't find my printer.

I'm not sure what to try next.  Can anyone help with this?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are trying to install the printer, I am glad to assist you.

There is no particular driver available for this printer model.

However, you can try to install the printer using a Windows Builtin driver.

Here are the steps:- Click here
