Cannot install envy 7855 printer because of error scanner feeder mispick detected.

I have had problems now for some time with my Envy 7855 printer getting it installed. I keep getting an error message that a "scanner feeder mispick detected" which keeps the printer from installing properly. This has occurred off and on since I have had the printer from new.

To assist you better, are you trying to reinstall the printer?

Where do you see this error message?

Have you tried making a copy from the feeder and the flatbed glass to check if the error persists?

For now, let us try these steps:

Reset the printer

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets
