Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I am so frustrated trying to install an HP MFP 283 Printer/Scanner.  I have tried HP Smart  which is a disaster and by directly installing the driver.  So far nothing has worked.  I did get the printer installed once but the scanner function would not work. 

I would appreciate ANY ADVICE!
