Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Laserjet Enterprise MFP M480

Cannot log into EWS or printer control panel

"Invalid user name, password, or access code."

Searched HP user forums but none of the suggested solutions have worked:

1) installed firmware v5.7.1.1 via USB
2) reset from printer control panel
3) cold reset from boot menu
4) clear security from Networking config on control panel

Any other suggestions?

Solution is a reset, so the printer needs to be reconfigured afterwards!

Power off, then during power on select HP logo on control panel and blue boot menu appears

Administration - Partial clean - Accept - Return - Proceed

Printer reboots and comes up with factory reset and it is possible to login as Administrator again

I also found out how this printer got into this state - in Printer EWS - Security "Allow users to choose alternate sign-in methods at the product control panel " was unticked without any of the other security or login passwords etc being setup, at that point all routes in are locked out
