When trying to change the paper size using the printer display the message "This feature has been disabled by the person that setup the printer. That person was me & I don't know how that happen. How can that feature be enabled? The printer size can be set by the software being used to print but not by doing it on the printer itself.

@Lesterr, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you encounter a message on your HP OfficeJet 8015e printer display that says "This feature has been disabled by the person that set up the printer," and you are unable to change the paper size, it is likely that printer settings were adjusted during setup to restrict this feature. Here are the steps you can follow to re-enable it:
Access Printer Settings:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to the settings icon (it may look like a gear or wrench).
- Select "Settings" or "Setup" from the menu.
Check User Restrictions:
- Look for options related to "Security" or "Permissions".
- There might be a setting that manages user permissions or admin settings. You might need to log in as an administrator if prompted.
Enable Paper Size Adjustment:
- Within the permissions or security settings, look for any features that might be disabled such as "Paper Size" or "Paper Settings".
- Change the permission from "Disabled" to "Enabled".
Apply Changes:
- Save the changes and exit the settings menu.
- You might need to restart the printer for changes to take effect.

Thank you for your response to my question. The detailed procedure you had provided was not available on the control panel for the 8015e printer I have, but I was able to perform similar steps using the HP Smart App on my laptop. The following are the steps I used:
1. Open the HP Smart AP
2. Select Printer Settings
3. Select Advanced Settings
4. Select Settings
5. Select Security
6. Select Admin Settings
7. Uncheck Control Panel Lock
8. Click on Apply
9. Turn off the printer and turn it back on.
This corrected the issue for me & hope others find it useful.
