Brand new OfficeJet Pro 9125e. First time trying to print an envelope and it doesn't work. Every envelope jams the printer. I have followed the instructions on page 14 of https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_6212888_en-US-1.pdf. The envelope is loaded in the tray properly but it will not feed without jamming. I'm shocked to find that there's no option to load an envelope on the top tray. It's ludicrous to have to remove the printer paper and replace with an envelope in the primary feeder, and then it doesn't even work. Very, very disappointing. This printer is basically useless to me if I can't print envelopes. I regret purchasing this printer.

Hi @shane_burke,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I’m really sorry to hear about the frustration you’re experiencing with printing envelopes on your brand-new HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e. I can understand how important it is for your printer to work as expected.
- Have you made sure that the envelopes are properly aligned and inserted straight into the paper tray (not at an angle)?
- Are you using the correct envelope size as per the printer’s specifications (e.g., #10 or DL)?
- Are there any error messages or signs of a specific issue displayed on the printer screen or in the printer software?
Let's try these steps.
Recheck the Envelope Alignment: Make sure the envelopes are loaded straight and not overlapping with any other paper. Also, adjust the paper guide in the tray to hold the envelope firmly without shifting.
Use the Correct Paper Tray Settings: Although the primary tray is being used for the envelopes, confirm that you’ve selected the correct paper size and type in both the printer settings and the printer software. Under "Paper Type," choose "Envelope."
Check for Paper Jam and Obstructions: Even with proper loading, the envelopes might be getting caught due to slight paper jams. Carefully check the feed path for any paper remnants or obstructions that might cause the envelopes to jam.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers: Sometimes, issues like this are resolved through software or firmware updates. Check for the latest updates via the HP Smart app or the HP website and install any available updates for your printer.
Try Different Envelopes: Ensure you are using high-quality envelopes designed for inkjet printers. Some thicker or textured envelopes can be difficult to feed properly. Try a different brand of envelope to see if it feeds correctly.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

The envelopes are the correct size and are loaded properly. There is no issue with the alignment in the tray. The printer attempts to load the envelopes and then folds them into accordions and jams. Then I have to open it up and manually extract the destroyed envelope. This is a printer problem and not user error or incorrect envelope stock (I'm using the Office Depot envelopes that I have always used with every previous printer that I've ever owned).
