macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Schermata 2021-04-12 alle 22.30.25.pngI have a Macbook pro with MacOs Bog Sur 11.2.3.

I have connected the printer with a USBc printer cable.

The printer is installed and I see it on the screen.

When I try to print a pdf or word or whatever I see a small window opening whit the following messages: "connected to the printer" and after "waiting for the job to complete". But the printer does not work.

I understand you are not able to print from your Mac. Let us try these steps:

 

Restart the Mac and the printer. 

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Do you have an Anti-virus/firewall installed on the Mac? If yes, disable the same for time being.

You may check this in System Information > Applications.

 

Use the HP Smart app to print.

Install it from the App Store.

Do you have any blinking lights on the printer?

 

Let us print a test page and check if it prints.

Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button  on the printer control panel, and then release it when the Ready light  blinks.

The Configuration Report prints.

 

Let me know how it goes.

That's good. It means the printer hardware is working fine. If you have tried the steps above and the issue persists, I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.

MacOS Big Sur 11.2.3

HP M15a Printer

Firmware Datecode 20190725

 

Observed behavior - print job sent to queue, job spools "Connected to Printer", then "Waiting for Job to complete", then the job disappears from the queue.

 

I followed all instructions with no luck:

1. Rebooted computer and printer

2. De-installed all printers, then reinstalled using the latest drivers directly from the HP 123 website

3. Installed HP Easy Start

4. Installed HP from the App Store - signed up for your HP cloud service - Error message "Cannot print encrypted PDF files" - PDF file isn't encrypted. Tried multiple PDFs - none worked.

5. Printed Configuration Page on HP m15a without problem.

 

No other files can be printed from the computer

I have the exact same issue! I followed the steps in the thread and only the configuration page is being printed. kindly, tell me how to resolve it
