My Samsung S9 phone has Android 10 and is up to date. The HP Smart app finds my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw, displays its IP address on my LAN and can actually print, but any attempt at "printer scan" shows "feature unavailable"

HP Support Assistant on my computer shows that the software is also up to date.

Scanning with multiple applications for Windows 10 and Linux works.

 

I never had HP Smart for Android on this phone until this week. Perhaps it is the PlayStore version that is the problem and I should look for a previous version of the app, but which one?
