HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer

My printer won't stop "unpausing". I can print from my phone and other computers. I have tried deleting the printer and re-installing as well. Nothing seems to be working. Followed several tutorials on YouTube. Any new ideas?

Hi @robins8 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet 8015e prints from your phone and other computers but remains paused on one specific computer, the issue is likely software-related. Here are some new ideas to try:

Step 1: Manually Resume Printing

  1. Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter.
  2. Right-click your HP OfficeJet 8015e and select See what’s printing.
  3. Click Printer in the top menu and uncheck Pause Printing (if checked).

Step 2: Restart Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
  3. Right-click it and choose Restart.
  4. Try printing again.

Step 3: Remove and Reinstall Printer (Full Cleanup)

Since reinstalling didn't work before, try a full cleanup before reinstalling:

  1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.
  2. Uninstall the printer drivers using:
    • Windows + R → type appwiz.cpl → find HP Smart and HP OfficeJet drivers, then Uninstall.
  3. Remove any stuck print jobs:
    • Windows + R → type spool → go to PRINTERS folder and delete everything inside.
  4. Restart your PC.
  5. Reinstall the printer from HP Smart or Windows SettingsBluetooth & devicesPrinters & scanners.

Step 4: Check Default Printer & Print Settings

  1. Windows SettingsBluetooth & devicesPrinters & scanners.
  2. Select HP OfficeJet 8015e and click Manage.
  3. Make sure Set as default printer is enabled.
  4. Click Printer propertiesPorts tab, and verify that the correct port is selected (e.g., USB001 for USB or WSD for network printing).

Step 5: Create a New User Profile (Windows)

Sometimes, corrupted user profiles cause printer issues.

  1. Go to SettingsAccountsOther usersAdd a new user.
  2. Log in with the new user account and try printing.

If none of these steps work, let me know if there are any error messages or additional symptoms!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
