Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased new cartridges and everytime I go to print I get an error message that there's a carriage jam. I do exactly what is shown to clear the jam but still unable to print, the store WAL MART will not take the cartridges back, anyone have any idea other then throwing away $40 and buying new to take a chance that it's NOT the cartridges and it's the printer..
