Hi,

 

Tried a reset of this printer.  For some reason the printer cartridges dont move to middle when door is opened.  Any tips?

I understand the print carriage is stuck. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Carriage jam or E3 error

Also, check for any jams inside the printer - A 'Paper Jam' Message Displays for HP Photosmart e-All-in-One (D110a and D110b) Printers

 

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. 

As the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
