Cartridge Errors

I have installed ink cartridges that are not HP, but are the correct ones for my HP OfficeJet 6962 printer. I keep getting the error "Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed." All of the cartridges are installed correctly, but I can't bypass this error to print anything. Anyone else having problems with this?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

You may try these steps - HP OfficeJet 6900 Printers - Ink Cartridge Errors

If the issue still persists, it could be an issue with the defective ink. You may reach out to the point of sales or Contact HP in your region for genuine inks. 
 

Note - HP recommends using genuine ink cartridges for a better print quality.

I know HP "recommends" using HP ink, but what's the harm in someone using recycled ink?  What would HP hope to accomplish by requiring and locking out their customers from using the products they've purchased in good faith as they see fit?  This "update" should be rolled back here.

Was there any update on this, or should I just get rid of this and never buy an HP again?

I was never able to get the cartridges to work. I had to throw them away and buy new HP brand ink. 😞

Based on the price of the Ink, it's worth it to just buy an alternative vendor it appears.
