Samsung Xpress M2830DW Laser Printer

Hi, I upgraded to MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) and I just noticed that my printer no longer works with my computer! I get an error message that says "can't open /private/var/spool/cups/tmp/..." Do I need to wait for the next printer driver to be ready for Catalina? If so do I really have to wait 3 months without a printer driver as last year Mojave came out in September but the printer drivers got updated in December? I really need to be able to print stuff for my classes....

Hi,

While there are no drivers available for Catalina for your printer yet, your printer supports AirPrint.

You may enable AirPrint from your printer EWS page as instructed below:

https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c05587132

Once enabled, follow below guidelines to print using AirPrint from macOS:

That would be great IF my school allowed me to connect the printer to the network; however, my school does not allow students to connect their printers to the wifi... so this solution does not work for me.

Will HP deploy 64 bit drivers for Mac OS Catalina?  I’ll delay rolling forward to Catalina if yes.  Some manufacturers are deploying updated drivers and some are not.  Appreciate the work-around and the statement uses the word, “yet” so I just want to be sure that HP IS planning on drivers for this printer.   Thanks
