Actual OS is 26.1.

I use the EWS to scan. How do I change the defaults for the Web Scan settings? It defaults to JPEG but I almost always scan to PDF.

Older versions would "remember" the settings you used for next time. This one is a wise-ass!

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Use a Scan method that supports setting job defaults.

For example,

  • On your computer, create a Shared folder with Read / Write permissions
  • Create a Quick Set for Scan to Network Folder
  • Set the ScanScan to Network Folder > Default Job Options

Open your Browser >

Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Quick Sets > Select one of: Add / Edit / Copy / Delete Quick Set Profile

and

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Scan > Scan to Network Folder > Default Job Options

Example - EWS - Quick Set - Scan to Network Folder

Thank you - but this information isn't for changing the defaults for web scan I don't think?

You are welcome.

True --  Web Scan does not include a Job Defaults --

Not that I can find, at least.

?

Yeah, but...

I realize the solution for Scan to Network Folder is not what you want.

Consider it FYI or "Sure, maybe later."
