There is no option to select color or grayscale. How do I select to print with only black ink?

Hi,
Please follow below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Be sure to complete any suggested step, restart the computer when required and check for any difference once the utility completes.
