How do I change the country / region on my HP 2620 Printer

HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label printer will not accept the cartridge.

 

Regionalization should be done on the printer.

Contact our HP Support for one on one interaction. 

 

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

 

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Step 2. Sign in / sign in as a guest

Step 3. Enter the product number or select to auto detect

Step 4. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 5. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

Hi! Im unable to locate this "still need help". Is it available only for printers with warranty? My printer do not have warranty anymore, but i just moved countries 😞

To assist you better, in which region was the printer and the ink cartridges bought?

In which country are you located now?

What model printer are you using?

 

HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label, you might see one of the following error messages:

  • Incompatible Cartridges

  • Cartridge Not Intended for this Printer

  • Incorrect Cartridges

A region reset has to be performed on the printer.

i bought my deskjet F4500 in Saudi Arabia and I’m moving to the USA. I’m currently in Brazil on vacation (I’m Brazilian) and bought a cartridge here (number 61) because i saw that it’s the same cartridge throughout America. When I tried to install the new cartridge I found out about this “incompatibility” thing. 😞

You may reset the region on the printer either to Brazil or the USA. Let me know your requirements.

 

 

Note: HP Deskjet F4500 All-in-One Printer series is a pretty old printer. The reset may or may not work on this model printer.

To which country/region would you like to reset the printer?

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Model name: DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 All-in-One Printer series; Firmware version: LAP1FN1828AR; Serial number CN89L6D01T06NS

I have the same problem. I bought my HP printer in Dubai UAE. It uses the HP cartridge hp562. Here in the states HP 65 cartridge works for the 3700 series printers. I purchased the HP 65 printer cartridges, but they don't work. The printer  says: Incompatible Cartridges, etc.

 

How do I go about a coutry/region reset on my HP printer?
