Hello everyone! I need some help!
I have an HP4553 printer that was purchased in India, then I moved to South Africa and HP support changed the region to Africa to use the 652 cartridges, now I'm back living in Brazil.
I have two cartridge models here, i bought the 664 cartridge (Brazil) and got the 680 cartridge (India) from an Indian friend, but in short, neither of them work.
I need to change the region to Brazil so that the printer can work again, although the printer is out of factory warranty and is in new condition.
Printer HP 4553 - (Edited)
I thank you in advance

Hi @sbezzan
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you move to a different country we need to perform a regional reset in order to make the printer work in the new region. I will surely help you with the Regional reset.
1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.
2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.
3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region/country to which you want to reset it to.
4. Make sure HP Smart App is installed too.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Sneha_01, thank you for your reply.
I understand that it would be more appropriate to change the region to Brazil, since the original HP supply option here is the 664 cartridges.
From the instructions you gave me, I already have the printer software and HP Smart installed on my notebook, but I am currently on a business trip and the printer is at home.
I will be returning home this weekend.
I am a basic user and I will need you to guide me step by step on how to change the region settings.
From what I have researched, it seems that a regional reset code provided by HP is required.

Hi @sbezzan,
Yes, changing the region of your HP printer to Brazil to use HP 664 cartridges will require a Regionalization Reset Code from HP Support.
Once you are back, please do keep us posted and we will try to get all the help
Take care and have a good day.

Just clarify one doubt for me, the printer is out of warranty, can you still help me?
HP support in Brazil informed me that they cannot configure it for the 664 cartridge, they said that only support from the printer's country of origin can make this change, in this case India.
