Change double spacing to singe for envelopes

I have gotten to the point in printing an envelope of opening the text box to type the return address. It defaults to double spacing, though. I have found how to change the text amoung other things but cannot find how to change to singe spacing. Any help is appreciated.

You are perhaps creating a Word document in the size and shape of an envelope.

If yes,

Using Text boxes is not mandatory but it is common when creating manual envelopes -- doing so creates a clean and structured look.

Try / Consider

The spacing in your normal "text entry area" might be adjusted with the "No spacing" setting.

Oddly (perhaps), even if your text entry is set to "No spacing" as the document default, the Text Box might remain ignorant of the "No spacing" preference.

Open / Start your Word document

Insert your text box

Start typing in the text box, for example, type a line and stop short of pressing "Return"

Set the top ribbon to "Home"

In "Styles", set to "No spacing"

Go back and type the rest of your content into your text box.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm using Pages. Additionally I'll try to make a template of the envelope with the return address prefilled.

True - Pages and Word are different animals.

I've only used Pages a handful of times -- I doubt my mediocre skill level would be useful in the context of inserting / managing text boxes in a Pages document.  😐
