“I bought a new HP DeskJet 2820e but it says the printer is associated with another account. Error code UA_400_EB000U0422.”

Hi Pream4317

 

Because this is a security feature to prevent people from stealing "Instant Ink" subscriptions, only HP Support can manually unlink a serial number from a previous account. You will need to contact them via the HP Support Website and provide your serial number. They are usually quite fast at "releasing" these units once you explain it was a new purchase.

This could be related to network connection on printer, you may need to restart your printer.
