1300 laserjet
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So HP's driver no longer allows you to adjust the print density for my old trusty 1300.

Is there someway to manually send a code to the printer and reset the print density. It shows as "3" currently so I'd like to change it to "5."

I assume this would need to be done through Windows Powershell with appropriate DOS commands?

Thanks

Try to copy in DOS  density.pjl to the parallel port to see will make any changes -> copy /b density.pjl lpt1

You can edit defaults.pjl in notepad to change density from 1 - 5

Thanks.

But not on lpt1... using USB port. What is proper syntax for that?

Much appreciated,

Install the printer driver and share it in Windows. Make sure you know the computer name and write down the printer share name:

copy /b defaults.pjl \\computername\printersharename
