I have to manually change the "Scan Area" size from Letter to A4 , everytime I scan documents.   How do I change the default from letter to A4.  I have a HP office jet pro 8024 . Thanks in advance for anyone's advice.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  Are you using the HP FULL software?

Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8020-all-in-one-printer-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Once installed, startup HP Scan and select "Save as PDF", under the settings Page Size, select "A4".  Do the scan.  There will be a prompt to "Save settings" after that i.e. future "Save as PDF" shortcut will be default to A4.
