I am unable to convert to wireless.  When I press the wi-fi icon on the printer display I get the error message: "This feature has been disabled.  Contact the person who set up the printer."  I set up the printer when it was delivered yesterday.  A telephone line runs to the router.  I don't know if it is LAN, VPN, or wireless. The router is then hooked up to the desktop by a cable named Omni Port.  There is no wire from any of the 4 ports labeled "ethernet".

The Network is your Wireless connection at home. Do you have a Wireless Router Setup?

Check your other devices which are connected to your Wireless Network to identify the Network Name

Thanks 🙂

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I understand that you are unable to connect wirelessly and you are getting an error that the feature is disabled

I'll try my best to help.

I suggest we perform a Semi-Full Reset to Factory Settings

Since these are crucial steps, I will send you a Private Message with the instructions

Please check your private message icon in the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile.

Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it

Thank you 🙂

I received the private letter, followed the instructions and got along fine until I got to the point where I had to identify a network.  What's a network?  How do I identify it and it's location?
