Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have a new HP Officejet Pro 9020 printer.  I originally linked it successfully to both my own personal PC and my work laptop.

I then stupidly changed the security settings for the work laptop and made a mess of it so that I have now  denied myself access to the printer from the laptop. When I try to  print, it says that I don't have access to the  printer.  Troubleshoot can't identify the problem but I know that it was of my own making.  I don't even have access to remove the printer and  so that I can re-install it.

Like so many others, I am working from home just now so really need to be able to print from my work laptop.  Can anyone help with what steps I should take to give me access again?

Thanks.

Hi,

Please try following 'To restore the printer to the original factory defaults' on page 191 of its user guide:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06220010

Next, reconfigure the wireless connection if required by following the Wireless Setup Wizard (Page 140) and check for any difference.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi

Thanks for your help but restoring the defaults has now cancelled my instant ink subscription and unfortunately not solved the problem.   Do you think I need to contact my ICT dept at work to see if they can remove the printer?  The laptop is connected to my work server through a VPN connection and the installed printer shows on devices and printers alongside the printers that I would usually use in the office.
