To change the administrator password for your HP LaserJet MFP 3302 printer, follow these steps:

Through the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

 Find the Printer's IP Address

  • On the printer, press the Settings or Wireless button.
  • Navigate to Network Setup > View IP Address (write it down).

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Open a web browser on your computer.
  • Type the printer’s IP address in the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.100).
  • Press Enter to open the HP EWS page.

Log In as Administrator

  • Click Sign In (usually in the top right).
  • If prompted, enter the current admin username and password (default username: admin, password may be blank).

Change the Admin Password

  • Navigate to Security > Administrator Settings.
  • Find the Password section.
  • Enter a new password, confirm it, and save changes.

 

Using HP Smart or Printer Software

Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant on your PC.
Go to Advanced Settings > Security.
Change the admin password from there.

 

you may need to reset the printer to factory defaults:
On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Restore Defaults.
Choose Restore Network Settings or Reset All Settings.
This will remove the admin password, allowing you to set a new one.
